Lincolnshire Louth Motor Club is the oldest in the UK, being formed as Lincolnshire Automobile Club, a social motoring club, in 1900. Many of the early members were professional people, such as doctors and solicitors.

Louth Motor Club was formed in 1969, and was a member of the RAC Motor Sports Association. The two clubs joined forces in 1976 to form the Lincolnshire Louth Motor Club.

It was the idea of the current long-serving Chairman, John Wilkinson, to form a classic section of the Club in 1990. The section has done extremely well, and is still growing.

The Club gets invited to about fifty events during the season. From April-October events are attended in Mablethorpe, Skegness, Brocklesby, RAF Waddington etc. and the Club supports Ludborough Station. It is also associated with other clubs such as those at Hull and Doncaster.
